Sick boy

Poor Kyle is still sick. Still has diarrhoea, a cough and both eyes are infected. He's not really eating much, though I keep offering him food. He's trying his best, poor soul, but is just not managing. I got an emergency appointment with the doctor today for another check up, she had a good look at him and seconded the out of hours doctor's opinion of a virus. Just to be sure, she sent off a stool sample for testing - the results came back this afternoon and sure enough confirmed it's a virus.

So not much we can do apart from keep offering lots of fluids, food, painkillers and cuddles. He's still trying his best to play, clamber, chat and smile. He was even smiling at the doctor today as she poked at him, through a haze of snot and eye goop. 

Thankfully John and I are both here and off work. We both seem to have caught the virus too, which seems to be hitting me harder than John (either that or John is just complaining less!) - can't say it's how we had hoped to be spending our Easter holidays! Hopefully it will pass soon.
