General update

Recently Kyle has been getting more teeth. A few have come through, but there are still more on the way. They don't seem to be bothering him too much at the moment thankfully.

His running and other physical skills have ramped up a notch. He is surprisingly quick at running, you need eyes on the back of your head. He can also climb worryingly well. He is trying his hardest to jump, but hasn't quite managed to clear the ground yet. As you have seen from photos on the blog, he also likes being upside down. He likes watching Waybuloo on Cbeebies and when the characters are doing yoga, he is able to copy the yoga moves! He is getting more co-ordinated now too even with fine motor skills and is able to put shapes into his shape sorters quite easily.

His vocabulary is growing daily, some new additions are: penguin, keyboard, planet, climb, hide, see, bounce, draw, birthday, drink, face, bogies and jump. He only needs to hear a word a couple of times before he understands. He is still trying to copy everything we say and understands much more than he can tell you, so we are of course being very careful about everything that leaves our mouths. He is saying a variety of simple sentences and is able to ask for most things he would like - not that he always gets them! Another new habit at the moment is saying "no" to pretty much anything and everything. Though, it's often very contrary and just seems to be a reflex to every question at the moment! Prime example was this morning at breakfast when I asked Kyle if he wanted more cereal, he said "no" whilst shaking his head, then promptly picked up his spoon and ate some more.

He is eating loads at the moment. We think he's having a real growth spurt, I've had to start clearing out his drawers as lots of his clothes suddenly don't seem to fit. He has a little belly appearing, which is very cute. May have something to do with all the cheese he eats!

The majority of the time he is happy go lucky and enthusiastic. He is still very affectionate and likes to give you cuddles and kisses often. He does have the odd moan though thankfully hasn't had too many tantrums as such, which I think is down to his ability to speak quite well and ask for what he needs.
