Hospital update

Kyle was at the paediatric clinic today, the GP had referred him as he kept getting diarrhoea and also to get a check-up on his clicky joints.

The doctor we saw was nice and she had a good look at Kyle. His weight was on the 10th centile at 21lbs (9.48kg) and his height was 30 inches (77cm). Doctor felt his development and health were very good, but wanted to keep an eye on his weight. She wasn't concerned about his joints, which of course didn't click once during her examination of him!

So we were discharged from the clinic and wants us to attend the GP monthly to monitor his weight. As nice as the doctor was, I felt the clinic was really a bit of a waste of time as we weren't given any reasons for his recurrent diarrhoea and they didn't really seem concerned. They only really worry if the diarrhoea lasts longer than 14 days. Whilst it's nice to have the all clear from the clinic, it didn't answer any of our questions.
Anyway, we are relieved that they were happy with his development - even if we are a little disappointed in terms of understanding what has been happening with his tummy.
